PRIMARY ELECTION - STATE CANDIDATES

* When you go to the polls in the primary election you are asked which party's ballot you want. You only get to vote for candidates in your chosen party. If you do not want to affiliate with a party you can ask for an "issues only" ballot. In the general election you may vote for the candidates you wish, irrespective of party.
